Life on the road w/o Scout

Well it's been a while since we've posted any news. Life got a little crazy this past year - Scout went to live with Ryan's friends Dom/Shayda (she comes to visit us once in a while). We missed her terribly while in Az this year and had good memories of our time with her on the road.

Hmmmm. now we'll yak about 'us' I guess. After a whirlwind year with some remodeling, granddaughter Carly getting married, and Kealy/Ryan having twins during Dec 2009 - we hit the road for AZ. At this writing we have been on the road 119 days and on the last stretch home. Our trip 'south' for the winter took us to Salem to hold those babies one more time and give great grandchild jadyn an extra hug, then....Corning CA, Bakersfield CA, Hemet CA, GoodYear AZ and end destination Tucson AZ for 3 mos. Coming home we relaxed at parker Dam AZ, met new friends George and Sandy and enjoyed 8 days by the Colorado River taking in a high speed boat race. The final leg home found us at Virgin UT (Zion), Wells NV where we had snow/ice and now Susanville CA. We've put 2915 miles on our new rig and it feels 'just like home' now.

We enjoyed more wood carving while in Tucson Dorn carved a polar bear and cougar (don't have a photo of the finished cougar yet - will post it later). Carol carved the squirrel (and the rock).

We enjoyed some hiking and seeing the desert IN BLOOM since AZ had more than its fair share of rain this year - will post photos in separate blog.
when we get home we'll have Scout and puppy Taho for a week and sure looking forward to that.
on the road again.
